Iftaar at Ikea buffet





























1st day of the long merdeka weekend..
Instead of going back to BP, decided to stay - possibility of having to work, no mood to drive back and bla2~
so, i got 2 of my sisters coming over for the weekend instead.
plan was to meet up at SOGO area, jln2 shopping and so on..
but left home too late for that. and was worried abt traffic jam. so ended up going into Maju junction parking just to pick them up. i knew i was smart not to get into jln TAR. the traffic was CRAZY~

so drove straight to mutiara damansara later.
thought it`d be nice to treat the girls to some nice Iftaar. so we went to ikea.
the cafe was already closing down for ala carte patrons by the time we got there around 5pm ~
people were already gathering to line up for the entrance for the buffet, but seriously we missed the line.
ikea is one of my favourite place for window shopping - would end up buying sthg anway haha-

tp dgn perut yg dah mula berdondang sayang, we just walked around the store like zombies~

15mins later, came back to the cafe, found the line that were already quite long actually..
and here comes the suprise.
here they were, A*al and family lining up at the back. haha ~
so Iftaar for 3 turned out to be for 7~
which was quite nice and meriah.

meriah in both the food and feeling :-)
the long table was full of food - main dishes, fruits and kuih-muih.

star of the day?
definetely the chicken nuggets and that famous brown souce. yummy~
main dishes to go with the rice - asam pedas talapia, mutton curry, ayam percik, sayur kangkung, all sorts of ulaman, kerabu, ikan kering etc~

overall the buffet was very worth it and satisfying. taste was good. for rm15.60/person i would say by Iftaar buffet standard, it`s quite good.
the only downside is of course, the long que~~~
the que to enter the cafe and then the que to get the food.
seriously.. few of us actually break our fast while lining up for the food!!! whats good though is that they actually control the number of people in the cafe, so everyone gets their seats - unlike normal IKEA behaviour where finding a seat is always a challenge~

so, if u`re up to some nice buffet with family or friends - or both like what i did, be sure to be there as early as 5pm!!
ok 5.30 is fine laa, working days maybe around 6pm. u get these stickers after u pay, so its ok `cause u still get to leave the area and walk around after that-but somebody still have to stay securing the table la of course.
with the surau just around the corner, not a bad place at all for a little gathering.
